SECTIONS

Each section of GECEN has a directory of associates interested in the activities that the association carries out in order to maintain them informed about its actions and projects. If you are already associate you can join to the section or sections in which you are interested.

The sections are:

Section of Zoology

Investigation of the situation of the wild fauna and of their needs of conservation; campaigns for the conservation of the protected species; collected of injured wild animals, etc.

Section of Botany and Mycology

Investigation about flora and vegetation and determination of its needs and priorities of conservation; campaigns of concience-raising for the conservation of the mushrooms, the flora and the vegetation; organization of expositions of mycology; etc.

Section of Natural Spaces and Organization of the Territory

It includes an area of Transport.
Follow-up and control of the state of conservation of distinct eco-systema and natural spaces; projects of conservation of natural habitats;organization of infrastructures and public works; hidrology policy; constitution of groups of volunteers for the caution against forest fires; to plant autochthonous trees and bushes; follow-up of the policys of organization of the Territory; promotion of the most energy efficient transports (railroad, bicycle, ...); support to the pedestrian rights, etc.

Section of Urban Development and Energy.

Urban development; control of poured and contamination; promotion of the adequate management of the residues by means of the promotion of the savings, reuse, selective processing and recycling; stimulation of a critical conscience about the society of consumption; etc.

Sección de Educación Ambiental.

Cursos, charlas, audiovisuales y exposiciones; excursiones e itinerarios didácticos en la Naturaleza; campamentos; programas de educación Ambiental; generación de recursos educativos para escolares; etc.

Sección de Cultura y Patrimonio Histórico - Artístico.

Contribución a la defensa del Patrimonio Histórico-Artístico (incluido el arqueológico); inventariado y defensa del patrimonio "menor" tal como la arquitectura popular, chozos de pastor y carboneros, mases, apriscos, etc; recopilación de canciones, leyendas, cuentos, refranes y otros elementos de la tradición oral popular.

Sección de Recursos Naturales.

Promoción y fomento de los métodos de producción agrosilvopastoriles, aprovechamientos cinegéticos, pesqueros, minería, etc. compatibles con la conservación del medio natural.
